Full Gospel Holy Temple

About This Project

Over the past few years, we’ve developed a strong partnership with e2i Design. Our latest collaboration, being one of the first JBL VTX system’s in a House of Worship, is nothing less than awesome.

After nearly 15 years since the last update to the audio system Full Gospel Holy Temple decided it was finally time to make a change. Prior to the VTX the church upgraded their audio consoles by installing (3) Yamaha CL5‘s for front of house, monitor and video mix positions. Once these were in place they decided to pull out the old standard (short throw / long throw) point source system and implement new line array technology.

After multiple speaker demos the church wholeheartedly decided JBL VTX was the way to go. With help from Brad Ricks at JBL, we were able to design a system that offers even coverage and frequency response to every seat in the house. The installation included (6) VTX-25-II flanked by (4) VTX-S28 per side (stereo) with (6) F15 floor wedges for Pastor monitoring. Main array and Pastor monitoring power was handled by Crown 4×3500 HD I-Tech amps while the subs utilized Crown 12000 HD I-Tech amps (all amps were configured with the latest JBL processing presets).

Other interesting facts include custom large format structural steel reinforcements for all rigging points and using a BSS BLU-806 to convert Dante from the CL5 to Digital AES for signal path into the I-Tech amplifiers. Last but not least JBL fully backed the system by sending System Engineer Raul Gonzalez out to put the finishing touches and tune the system. The result: one incredible sounding rig.
